Kidney

Kidneys are an important organ in our excretory system. Kidneys flush out waste, urine and excess fluids that are not required in our body. Kidneys are attached to our urinary tract, which includes bladder, urethra and a pair of ureters.

  • Kidney Stones

    Kidney stones are small and hard pebble-like deposits that form in the kidney due to high levels of minerals in urine. Though Kidney stones are very painful, they don’t leave a long term scar on kidneys if treated early. The symptoms of kidney stones slightly differ in Men and Women. Kidney stones can be diagnosed and treated at early stages, make sure of a regular checkup with your trusted Urologist. Recurrent kidney stones are now common and should be take care with proper medications and living a healthy lifestyle.

  • Kidney Cancer

    Kidney Cancer happens slowly over many years and in progressive stages. Kidney Cancer decreases the ability of kidneys to flush out urine and fluids from body.     Due to unhealthy lifestyle and several other concerns, India ranks 17th in kidney failure deaths. The major cause being diabetes and hypertension. Urinary Bladder

Urinary Bladder is a hollow muscular organ that collects urine before excretion through urination. Urine enters the bladder via the ureters and exits via the urethra.

  • Overactive Bladder

    Overactive Bladder is a condition where urinary bladder can no longer hold your urine and you feel a sudden urge to urinate at times. Urinary incontinence is a major symptom of overactive bladder, where your urine leaks. Overactive bladder is mostly found in women and sometimes may happen in men too. Enlarged prostate, ageing and diabetes are some of the causes of overactive bladder in men. It can be treated through exercise and medications.

  • Bladder Stone

    Unlike Kidney stones, Bladder stones form in the bladder due to concentrated urine or dehydration. Sometimes small stones formed in kidney travel down to bladder and if not eliminated may become large bladder stones. Bladder stone is more found in children. Bladder stones can be diagnosed with procedures (Link to services page) and treated fully with medications. Benign prostatic Hyperplasia is major risk factor for bladder stone in men.

  • Bladder Cancer

    Bladder cancer occurs when cells in your bladder grow abnormally and over time form tumors. Bladder cancer also occurs due to frequent and past infection in urinary tract. The most common symptom of bladder cancer is discoloration or blood in urine. Due to this obvious symptom, Bladder cancers are diagnosed at early stages and are easy and convenient for patients to treat.

Prostate

The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ that produces fluids that feed and protect sperm cells.

  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

    Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is non-cancerous enlargement of prostate gland. The enlargement of the prostate gland causes the urethra to narrow, and puts pressure on the base of the bladder. This can lead to obstruction in the flow of urine. BPH is not fatal but may affect the quality of life and thus should be treated. BPH generally affect men older than 50 years. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia can be treated and cured completely with medications.

  • Prostatitis

    Prostatitis is the swelling and inflammation of the prostate. Prostatitis is often caused due to infections, injury or immune system disorder. There are tow types of Prostatitis: bacterial and non-bacterial. Non-Bacterial Prostatitis is also known Chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS). Bacterial Prostatitis can be cured within days or weeks by medications and antibiotics. Non-Bacterial Prostatitis sometimes may get better on its own.

  • Prostate Cancer

    A cancer confined in the prostate gland is Prostate Cancer. Prostate Cancer is now common in India and affects approx. 1 million men per year. Prostate Cancer initially does not show any symptoms but advanced symptoms include trouble in urinating, blood in semen, bone pain etc. Men over 50 are generally affected by prostate cancer. Causes of prosate cancer though are not determined but age, family medical history do matter. Prostate cancer if detected in early stages can be taken care of completely and patient can live a normal life onward.

Urethral Stricture

Urethral stricture is an abnormal narrowing of the urethra. Urethra is the tube that carries urine out of the body from the bladder. The causes of Urethral Stricture are commonly injuries in pelvic area, urinary tract infections or sometimes past surgeries and BPH. Urethral Stricture is more common in men than in women. Symptoms are almost similar to any other urinary tract diseases, so it’s important to diagnose with urologist.

Infertility

According to WHO, on the status of infertility in India, of all infertility cases, approximately 50% is due to ‘male factor’ infertility, owing to the reproductive anomalies in the male. Male infertility is due to low sperm production, abnormal sperm function or blockages that prevent the delivery of sperm. Illnesses, injuries, chronic health problems, lifestyle choices and other factors can play a role in causing male infertility. There are many organic and medical causes that account to male infertility, but it can be cures with proper process of medications and procedures.

Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary tract infection can is an infection in any part of the urinary tract. Most infections involve the lower urinary tract — the bladder and the urethra. Urinary Tract Infection is more common in women. They usually occur in the bladder or urethra, but more serious infections involve the kidney. A bladder infection may cause pelvic pain, increased urge to urinate, pain with urination and blood in the urine. A kidney infection may cause back pain, nausea, vomiting and fever. A proper medication can treat UTI from core.
